Finally, Americans seem to be waking up to the health benefits of natural food, or as I like to call it, food.

Health facts aside, there is a very large, and growing opportunity for companies to capitalize on the new-found organic food trend that has taken place here in the U.S. I was surprised to read recently that the demand for organics is quickly increasing even among lower income consumers! Wow, who woulda thunk?

Now is the perfect time for retailers and manufacturers to step up and meet a growing need…and make plenty of money doing it. Check out a great article from Supermarket News:

So, I was at our local shopping store with my wife this weekend and, as I tend to do, I was scouring the aisles for something new…just to see if I could find something that would tickle my fancy. Then, I saw them…what I thought would be a glorious mixture of Cheez-It and Mozzarella. I mean, hey, that’s what the box implies!

I bought them and gave them a try. Seriously Sunbeam? This is all you’ve got on the Mozzarella front? They taste almost exactly like the white cheddar version! This seemed odd to me, so I decided a quick ingredient review was in order. There are three cheeses listed on the box and Mozzarella is the third, yes THIRD (last place) cheese. It appears as though my suspicions were correct by thinking that they tasted more like white cheddar…in the cheese ingredient listing, white cheddar was first…with cheddar being second.

Yes, Cheez-It Mozzarella tastes pretty good…because they are a bloody knock off of their own white cheddar version. C’mon Sunbeam, you can do better.
